JOHN CHARLES WILSON was born in Nottingham and received his technical education at the University.
He was articled to Messrs. Goddard, Massey and Warner, engineers and founders, Nottingham, in 1891 and from 1893 to 1897 was engaged in the drawing office of that firm. In addition he supervised the construction and erection of pumping machinery, boilers, and laundry plant.
He then joined Messrs. Guest and Chrimes, brassfounders, of Rotherham, and remained with that firm until 1914 when, owing to the death of the proprietor and a change of ownership of the business, he retired and returned to Nottingham, where he died on 9th February 1934, in his sixty-second year.
He had been an Associate Member of the Institution since 1898.
