Born the son of Henry Thame, an electrical Engineer.

c.1888 Patent on "Improvements in the process of construction of barrels, boxes, casks or receptacles or similar articles made of paper pulp or other similar pulp" with Herbert Samuel Sanguinetti.

1888 Married(1) at Battersea to Sarah Louise Millwater (died 1895)

Formed the Universal Barrel Co to exploit the patented process he had invented

1896 Married (2) to Georgina

1911 Living at 18 Derby Road, Sheen Mortlake, Surrey: James Raper Thame (age 47 born City of London), Consulting Mining Engineer. With his wife Georgina and their son James George Calvert Thame.[1]
