James Charles Clegg Kimmins (c1851-1936) of Kimmins, Drew and Co
Born the son of James Kimmins, a Journeyman Miller.
1875 Married at Haverstock Hill, Camden, to Isabelle Maud Hubbard
1881 Resident at Downton, King's Stanley: James Kimmins (age 30 born Isleworth), Flour Merchant and Miller employs 5 Men and 2 Boys. Methodist Local Preacher. With his wife Isabel and sons Arthur (age 5), Howard (age 3) and Edward (age 1).[1]
1911 Residing at Ryeford Hall, Stonehouse: James Kimmins (age 60 born Isleworth), Corn Merchant. With his wife Isabella and sister Fanny. Also his two daughters who are shown as School Mistresses and there are 27 boarders (four mistresses and 23 girl aged 8-17) and four servants.[2] Note: In 1928 the house was acquired by Wycliffe College for a junior school.
