1851 Living at Fen, Gosberton, Lincolnshire: John Leverton (age 32 born Gosberton, Linc), Ag Lab. With his wife Mary Leverton (age 35 born Gosberton, Linc) and their six children; John Leverton (age 13 born Gosberton, Linc); Thomas Leverton (age 11 born Gosberton, Linc); George Leverton (age 9 born Gosberton, Linc); Francis Leverton (age 8 born Gosberton, Linc); Jacob Leverton (age 4 born Gosberton, Linc); and Nathaniel Leverton (age 1 born Gosberton, Linc).[1]

1879 'Jacob Leverton, hammer filer, living at 130, Ecclesall road, deposed that he worked with his brother, John Leverton, carrying on business at Pond Hill.'[2] Crown Hammer Works.[3]
