J. W. Pease and Co
1872 Owing to the death of Gurney Pease, the mineral quarrying interests of J. and J. W. Pease of Darlington were put into a new company J. W. Pease and Co with David Dale being a new senior partner. They had the Cleveland Ironstones Mines and Durham Limestone quarries. 
1882 Announcement that Joseph Pease and Partners, colliery owners, and J. W. Pease and Co, ironstone and mineral quarry owners, would be amalgamated as Pease Partners Ltd; the ownership would be divided between the existing owners.
1898 Pease and Partners was registered as a public company.
