JOHN NASH PEAKE died at his residence, Bellevue House, Congleton, on April 29, 1905, at the age of sixty-eight. He was formerly a well-known and highly-esteemed resident in the Potteries, and took a large share in the public life of Tunstall, near which he possessed extensive coal and ironstone interests.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1878.
