1877 Born in Kenley, Surrey

1894-8 Trained at City of London Guilds, Technical College, Finsbury, then at Central Institute, at Kensington.

About 1.25 years working for the General Electric Company at Schenectady, NY

About 1.25 worked in Canada for the Montreal Light Heat and Power company

1904-5 Worked for BTH in Rugby

1906 Joined North Metropolitan Power Supply Co as assistant engineer, living in Croydon.

1906 Elected an Associate Member of the Inst Civil Engineers.

1911 Electrical engineer, living in St. Albans, Herts.[1]

c.1927 Chief Engineer to the North Metropolitan Electric Power Supply Company

1928 Capt J. M. Donaldson designed the first turbo-alternator to generate directly at 33 kV (Parsons 25 MW unit at Brimsdown "B").

1939 Electrical engineer, lived in St Albans, Herts.[2]
