1887 Company founded.

1902 J. H. Carruthers and Company Limited, of 27 Hamilton Street, Polmadie, Glasgow, was registered, with capital of £30,000, to acquire the business of the same name.[1]

1922 A new private company of the same name was registered, with capital of £33,000, to take over as a going concern the business and heritable property and other assets of the old company, which had gone into voluntary liquidation.[2]

1961 Manufacturers of pumps, electric cranes, separators and condensers. 335 employees. [3]
