1957 ... "the L.C.C. refused a planning application by J. D. Beardmore and Co., wholesale ironmongers and architectural metal workers, who have been in business nearly 100 years. .. this raised fears the County Council had earmarked a site in the street for additions to the annexe of their ...."[3]

1966 J. D. BEARDMORE & CO., LTD (incorporating CLUSE Ltd) moved to 4-5 PERCY STREET, LONDON W.l. as a result of the compulsory purchase by the G.L.C. of the premises at 77-81 Cleveland St., W.l. which they had occupied for over a century.[4]

1976 Moved the factory from Central London to Field End Road, Ruislip; advertised vacancies for Experienced and Trainee ART METAL WORKERS[5]
