1805 Advert: 'ISAIAH HORTON, From near Birmingham, Begs leave to inform the Public, that he has taken the Foundery, lately occupied by Mr. William Kirkby, Richmond-street, Manchester, where he intends to carry on the business of Engine Boiler Maker, in all its various branches. He flatters himself that, from many years experience, he will be able to give the greatest satisfaction.
N.B. Has convenient carriages for fetching boilers to repair.'[1]

1810 Dissolution of the Copartnership between Thomas Horton, Isaiah Horton, and Daniel Horton, in the Trade or Business of Steam-Engine-Boiler-Makers, carried on at Manchester, in the County of Lancaster, under the Stile or Firm of Isaiah Horton and Co. was dissolved on the 15th Day of January instant by mutual consent.[2]
