1786 Probably the father (or uncle) of Benjamin Dobson (1786-1839)

1790 One of the oldest engineering companies in the world was founded by Isaac Dobson for the production of textile machinery.

Grandfather of Benjamin Alfred Dobson.

1820 Married to F. Capill at Tickhall, Yorkshire.[1]

1822 Mention. Isaac Dobson, machine maker at Bolton.[2]

1828 One of the promoters of the Bolton and Leigh Railway

1833 January 15th. Died at his residence Gilnow, near Bolton-le-Moors, age 65 years.[3]
