Horniman Museum

From Graces Guide

of 100 London Road, Forest Hill, London SE23 3PQ

Frederick John Horniman opened his house and the extraordinary collection of objects in the 19th century.

Since then, the collection has grown tenfold and now includes internationally important collections of anthropology and musical instruments, as well as an acclaimed aquarium, a Butterfly House and natural history collection.

Unusually for such an important Museum, visitors can see the collection up-close and face-to-face; they can even pick up, try on and play with some of the objects.
