Honor Oak Reservoir

The largest covered reservoir in the world covering 10 acres. The roof of concrete arches standing on brick piers. Built over three years by 400 men using 19 million bricks. Subterranean basin from 21.5 to 34 feet in depth.[1]
1931 'Messrs. Ruston and Hornsby, Limited, Lincoln, have secured a further order from the Metropolitan Water Board for a five-cylinder vertical oil engine for Honour Oak Pumping Station.'[2]
