Hobbis Brothers and Horrell

From Graces Guide

Hobbis Brothers and Horrell of Northfield, Birmingham.

Triple H was a motorcycle produced by them between 1922 and 1923. This was a lightweight fitted with a 247cc Morris two-stroke engine. It had a Moss two-speed gearbox, with clutch and kick-starter, and Maplestone centre-spring forks. It also had a special cast silencer with detachable plate for ease of cleaning.

Triplette was a simple machine produced between 1923 and 1925, powered by a 147cc Villiers two-stroke engine, with an Albion two-speed gearbox, or with direct-belt drive. It had very wide mudguards at the front, so the fork blades had to pass through slots cut into the top of the guard.

The venture was very short lived.
