1970 Acquired Swain Group and its principal subsidiary H. R. Owen from Lex Services Group which was acquiring Heron's properties in Yorkshire[1]

1971 Acquired Saville Motor Services[2]

1971 Acquired A. J. Beal

1972 Scottish Automobile Co acquired Heron Motor Group in exchange for issuing shares to Heron Corporation, together with an option that would allow Heron Corporation to acquire a majority of Scottish Automobile[3]

1976 Looking to establish a link with Heron Service Stations to build a nationwide network of petrol stations[4]

1977 Acquired a stake in Henlys from Brown Brothers Corporation[5] (previously Brown Brothers and Albany); later in the year the stake was sold to Northwest Securities who already provided vehicle financing for Henlys[6].

1982 Heron Corporation acquired the minority shareholding in the company that it did not already own.

Also owned HMG Bromley, a Mercedes-Benz dealer.

1984 Acquired by Malaya Group, another luxury car dealer[7]
