1881 Residing at 49 Lower Wood Street, Woolwich: Herbert Gradidge (age 48 born Hants), Manager. With his wife Sarah and their children; Charles Gradidge (age 21); Minnie (age 19); William Gradidge (age 14), Florence (age 10) and Henry Gradidge (age 9) and Ellen (age 6).[1]

1891 Residing at 36 Artillery Row, Woolwich: Herbert Gradidge (age 57 born Hants), Cricket (?) Manufacturer (Employer). With his wife Sarah and their children; William Gradidge (age 24), Florence (age 21) and Henry Gradidge (age 19) and Helen (age 16).[2]

1910 Died. 'The remains of the late Mr. Herbert Gradidge, of Artillery Place, Woolwich whose death was recorded last week, were interred at Charlton Cemetery on Friday afternoon. As head of the wellknown firm of sports outfitters, deceased had a very extensive business connections, and at the funeral there was a large attendance of representatives of the various firms and athletic clubs, as well as numerous personal friends...'[3]
