1952 Obituary 
"HENRY WEILDING was closely concerned with the textile industry throughout his professional career, and for thirty-one years held the appointment of chief engineer to the York Street Flax Spinning and Weaving Company, Ltd., Belfast. He was born in 1883, and received his education at the Municipal College of Technology in Manchester, where he also served his apprenticeship with George Saxon, Ltd., engineers, from 1896 to 1906. He was then appointed chief engineer to the Broadstone Spinning Company, Ltd., Stockport, and after holding this position for six years took up his final appointment at Belfast. Since his retirement from the York Street Spinning Co in 1943 he had been in practice as a consulting engineer. Mr. Weilding, whose death occurred on 2nd January 1951, was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1919 and transferred to Membership six years later. He was also an Associate of the Institution of Electrical Engineers."
