1806 'Capital New-built Vessels. To be SOLD by AUCTION, By J. Borough, At the Old George Inn, in Briggate Leeds, on Monday the Fifteenth of September Inst at Six o’Clock in the Evening, TWO CAPITAL STAUNCH-BUILT SLOOPS, (the NILE, and the ACORN;) also, ONE HALF SHARE of the SLOOP Venus, built about a Year ago, and in most excellent Condition. The Vessels may be viewed any Time previous to the Sale, near the New Navigation Warehouse, in Water-Lane, Leeds; and further Particulars may be had of the Auctioneer, at his Office, in Kirkgate; of Mr. Henry Teall, of Leeds; or of Mr. Joseph Teall, near Wakefield.' 1832 'HENRY TEALL, Timber Dealer, Boat Builder, Sworn Measurer, and Appraiser, sincerely thanks his Friends for all Favours, and begs to inform them and the Public, that be will, as Commission Agent, engage to value Woods or Vessels, and sell the same by Auction or Private Contract, as may be required. H.T. trusts that his long Experience in Business will be a sufficient Recommendation to secure the Favour of his Friends, as well as a Share of Public Patronage. He has on Sale ONE NEW SLOOP, Six Feet high, fit for the River or Coasting Trade; TWO KEELS, one Six Years old, the other aged ; and TWO OPEN BOATS, on the moderate terms.
