1851 Henry Newill 31, cutlery manufacturer, employing 50 men and boys in conjunction with other partners, lived in Ecclesall Bierlow with Margret Newill 31, Frank Newill 8, Fanny Newill 5, Harrison Newill 3, Walter John Newill 1[1]

1860 With 4 brothers took charge of the family firm
