Henry Edmund Goodridge (1797-1864) was an architect whose work started in the 1820s.

1797 Born at Bath

Goodridge's buildings include:

  • Cleveland Bridge
  • one of the earliest shopping arcades (The Corridor)
  • Beckford's Tower, Bath
  • Downside Abbey (1828),
  • Devizes Castle (1840)
  • Library of Hamilton Palace (1845).

Goodridge maintained a financial interest in The Corridor and, a few years after the death of his widow, his Will led to a huge family dispute which had to be resolved by the Chancery Court.
