1917 Obituary.[1]

It is with the deepest regret that we have to announce the death of Mr. Henry Frank Anelay, Member, Brighton, which occurred in Brighton Hospital on May 12th.

Mr. Anelay was one of the founders of the Institution and a member of Council until December, 1913.

He received his professional training at the Crystal Palace School of Engineering, King’s College, London, and then served in the Stratford Works of the G.E. Railway.

Afterwards he went to the Running Department of the Midland Railway to gain further experience.

After remaining some time at Kentish Town Locomotive Department he retired into private life, and at a later date took up motor engineering.

His age was 53. The funeral took place on May i8th at the Brighton and Preston Cemetery
