1922 M.I.Mar.E., M.I.Mech.E., M.I.N.A.; b. Bradford, Dec. 3o, 1868. App. to Maudslay, Sons and Field; joined the P. and O. Service as 7th Engr., 1890; entered Babcock and Wilcox service in Mar. Dept., 1896; and later became Manager of Japanese Branch, 1906; 1915— Man. Dir. of the Russian Babcock and Wilcox Co., until the War; now General Manager of Japanese and Chinese organizations.
