Four years with General Electric Co., Ltd., Peel Works; four years with Ferranti, Ltd.; two years research work on magnets, A.C. meters, mercury meters, etc. 1912—Manager, Meter Department, Electrical Apparatus Co., Ltd.; designed the type H.T., A.C. Watthour meter, also polyphase ditto. 1915—In charge, export meter and instrument sales, British Westinghouse Co., Ltd. 1918—Manager of Salford Electrical Instruments, Ltd., designer of instrument for use of blind, etc.
