HENRY ARCHIBALD KERR SCONCE, born in Bengal on the 26th July, 1868, died at East Sheen, Surrey, on the 24th December, 1914.
After passing out of Coopers Hill College, he was engaged for a short time on the Manchester Ship Canal, and in 1891 was appointed Assistant Engineer on the Bombay, Baroda, and Central India Railway. He served the Company continuously until he was invalided home in 1913, being engaged on the survey and construction of various branches, and taking charge, as District and Executive Engineer, of various sections of line. He was last in charge of the Bandikui Division, Rajputana.
Mr. Sconce was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 6th February, 1894, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 13th July, 1914.
