Henderson Aviation Bureau
1929 Colonel George Lockhart Henderson was principal of the Henderson Flying School at Brooklands until about a year ago when he moved over to Croydon where his firm became known as the Henderson Aviation Bureau.[1]
1930 'Mrs. Henderson, the 23-years-old widow of Lieut.-Colonel G. L. P. Henderson, the pilot of the ill-fated airliner in which the Marquis of Dufferin, Viscountess Ednam and others were killed at Meopham, Kent, on July 21, is to take charge of her late husband’s business, the Henderson Aviation Bureau, at Croydon Aerodrome. Flying Officer F. O. C. Allen, who scattered the colonel’s ashes over the aerodrome, will continue to act as chief pilot. The inquest on the victims of the Meopham crash will be resumed on Wednesday. The Air Ministry’s investigations will be completed in two or three days. Many of the jewels worn by Lady Ednam and Mrs. Loeffler are still missing, though some have been found.'[2]
