Hartlepools Concrete Co

From Graces Guide
1893

Manufacturer of concrete items, Cleveland Street, Longhill, West Hartlepool, Co Durham.

Established about 1892 as a partnership between Charles Bastow Casebourne and Thomas Arnold. Note that C B Casebourne's father was the founder and managing director of the nearby cement works, Casebourne and Co, so there was a strong synergy. It is thought that the firm was located on land belonging to the cement works. Thomas Arnold was a local builder.

1894 Partnership dissolved 18 Jun 1894. Casebourne and Arnold, concrete manufacturers, trading as The Hartlepools Concrete Company partners Charles B Casebourne and Thomas Arnold.[1] Although not stated in the dissolution notice, the company continued to trade, apparently in C B Casebourne's ownership.

The last mention of this company found so far is in 1897.
