Harder, Blair and Co

1899 The business was established by Hermann Rudolf Harder and William Buchan Blair, with branches in London and Hamburg.

1914 Jute merchants. Specialities: jute goods, sacks and canvas. Employees 24. [1] In December the company's creditors successfully petitioned the court for a judicial factor to be appointed, as Harder was the sole partner at that point, and he was deemed to be an enemy alien following the outbreak of the First World War[2]

1921 There was a sale of large quantities of rope, twine and jute samples 'which belonged to the late firm of Messrs Harder, Blair & Co, jute merchants, Dundee'.[3]
