1900 Joined in partnership by William Clark Naismith and John Edward Naismith (sons)

1905 Incorporated as a Limited Company

1914 Chairman: William Naismith, J.P., Managing Directors: William Naismith, J.P., William Clark Naismith, and John Edward Naismith. Printers and Publishers of the " Hamilton Advertiser." Claimed to be the largest Weekly Provincial in Scotland outside Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, and Aberdeen.

1963 Acquired the business of A. Walker and Sons Ltd of Galashiels, proprietor of the Border Telegraph (established in 1896) and the Peeblesshire News (established in 1887). Then acquired the Wishaw Press and Advertiser Ltd, proprietor of the Wishaw Press (established in 1870).

c.1970 The proposed transfer of six weekly newspapers owned by Hamilton Advertisers Ltd and Baird and Hamilton Ltd to George Outram and Company Ltd was examined by the Competition Commission.
