1884 Incorporated. Length 3.25 miles.
A 3 mile line opened in 1890 that ran between Holmfield on the Great Northern Railway and Pellon and later to Halifax St. Paul's.
1889 Engineer is John Fraser and Sons.[1]
It closed to passengers in 1917 and to goods in 1960
In 1923 it became part of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway and the London and North Eastern Railway
