1908 Henry Reeve Angel (1873-1934) was UK agent for a Finnish newsprint company.

Then he shared premises with Frederick George Angel & Co, dealing in starches and chemicals, at 110 Fenchurch St.

Angel advertised himself as sole UK representative for "Desvernay & Cie.", featuring their crayons, pencils, etc; also Canson papers.

1921 H. Reeve Angel and Co Ltd was incorporated as a public company; its business was as sales agent for W. and R. Balston. The business advertised over many years as sole representative for J. Whatman papers.

1959 Reeve Angel International Ltd was incorporated as a holding company for H. Reeve Angel and Co[1]

1974 Reeve Angel International merged with W. and R. Balston and the name Whatman was included in the new title Whatman Reeve Angel Ltd.
