1928 Company incorporated. Mr. Rayner was appointed by the H. K. Mulford Co., of Philadelphia, to form an English subsidiary, to be known as H. K. Mulford Ltd., and to be its managing director.[1]

1930 Name changed to Sharp and Dohme Ltd

1955 Name of Sharp and Dohme Ltd was changed to Merck-Sharp and Dohme Ltd

1956 The name of Merck-Sharp and Dohme Ltd was changed to Merck Sharp and Dohme Ltd

1964 Merck Sharp and Dohme Ltd became Merck Sharp and Dohme (Holdings) Ltd
