Established in 1865 as a high-class Milliners' Business by Messrs. Hilder and Godbold

1891 Succeeded by Horatio Charles Russell, solo proprietor until April, 1913, when the business was converted into a Private Limited Company, with Mr. H. C. Russell as Managing Director.

c.1914 Acquired the well known Outfitting and Lingerie business of the late George Himus, founded in 1854, rebuilt, and incorporated into the establishment.

1927 Merged into Stagg and Russell
