1865 Born in USA, son of Henry Alonzo House, and his wife Mary Elizabeth[1]

1891 Living at Baldwyds, The Heath, Dartford: Henry A. House (age 50 born Brooklyn, U.S.), Mechanical Engineer. With his wife Mary E. House (age 49 born Pennsylvania, U.S.) and their four children; Henry A. House (age 27 born Connecticut), Mechanical Engineer; Kena C. House (age 21 born Connecticut); L. Grace House (age 15 born Connecticut); and Bertha V. House (age 11 born Connecticut). One servant.[2]

c.1893 Joined the Liquid Fuel Engineering Co on its formation making high speed steam yachts and launches.[3]

1895 Became an Associate of the I Mech E

1896 The company started making motor vans, waggons , omnibuses, etc.

1897 Works Manager of the Liquid Fuel Engineering Co, of the Isle of Wight. Designed a steam-powered road train which ran between Gloucester and Fairford.

1898 Baptised in Cowes[4]

1898 Became a Member of the Inst of Mechanical Engineers

1910 Living with his in-laws in Fairfield, Conn., USA, a mechanical engineer[5]

1940 Died in USA[6]
