- The Great North of England, Clarence and Hartlepool Junction Line was 6.5 miles and originally leased to or worked by the North Eastern Railway.
- 1848 The line is leased from 1st July for 999 years to the North Eastern Railway.[1]
- In 1923 it became part of the London and North Eastern Railway.
