1959 Acquired Macdonald's Tweeds.[7]
1960 In August, acquired the shares of Rose, Morris and Co.
1961 Acquired Millard Brothers.[8]
1961 Acquired Robert Laidlaw and Sons.[9]
1961 Acquired Charles (Wednesbury).[10]
1962 Acquired the Wallacetown Engineering Co.[11]
1962 Acquired Benjamin Crook and Sons, manufacturers of Mitre sports equipment.[12]
1962 Acquired Mitchell Brothers, Sons and Co.[13]
1971 Sold its fasteners group consisting of eight companies to Cooper Industries.[14]
