1827 Globe Hotel, Exeter.[2]

1835 Globe Hotel, Exeter. John Gove advertises that he had added to his establishment, one a two horse chaises.[3]

1840 Globe Hotel, Exeter. John Gove sells the hotel after sixteen years, to James Lane, son of Mr. Lane, a coach proprietor of bath.[4]

1861 Globe Hotel, St. Mary's Yard. William Birkett, Hotel Proprietor. With his wife and son. Five visitors, two lodgers and eight servants.[5]
