Glenlee Power Station

Part of the Galloway hydro scheme’s electricity generation plants.

This power station forms a major element of stage I of the Galloway Hydro-Electric Scheme, receiving its water supply from Clatteringshaws Loch through the Glenlee tunnel. It houses 2x12,000 kW generators and has 2x500kW auxiliary generators. This station served as the control station for the Scheme as a whole.[1]
