1877 'To LET, that portion of the GLENIFFER SOAP WORKS, at LONEND, used for the Manufacture of Starch, with Engine and Machinery, all in working order, may used as Starch Work, or any other Business.[3]
1878 'Yesterday morning fire broke out in the Gleniffer Soap Works (Messrs. Ferguson, Shaw, & Sons, Glasgow.)'[4]
1906 'A destructive series of fires occurred on Tuesday at Paisley. In the afternoon a fire broke out at Gleniffer Soap Works, a large part the works being gutted.'[5]
1913 Gleniffer Soap Co Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £25,000.[6]
1977 The company went into voluntary liquidation[7]
