Gigg Mill, Nailsworth

From Graces Guide

Gigg Mill in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire

Small museum in an old mill building. Weaving is demonstrated on several types of weaving looms, namely small contemporary looms, a large hand loom from c.1850, and a 1950s motor-powered Dobcross loom made by Hutchinson, Hollingworth and Co. The demonstrations, together with various displayed artefacts, give an excellent insight into the methods and technology of weaving.

It is important to check the website for the limited dates and times of opening. Usually open on the same day as the nearby Dunkirk Mill
