George Slater, Ltd., iron and steel merchants, Sheffield.

1925 Purchased The Bagnall Forge and Engineering Works at South Hylton, near Sunderland. Most of this plant was broken up for scrap, and dismantling. There was, however, a good deal of big machinery to be disposed of, as the products of the Bagnall works included shafting etc. for ships.[1]
