1841 George Skirrow Beecroft, J.P. for Leeds, entered into partnership with his cousins John, Thomas and Ambrose at Kirkstall Forge, of which the Butler and Beecroft families had been proprietors since 1778.

1842 Ironmaster, widower, married Mary Isabella Beaumont[3]
