George Jendrassik (1898-1954) was a pioneering designer of gas turbines.

of Ganz and Co
1939 Description and illustrations of a combustion turbine designed by George Jendrassik and constructed by Mr. K. Arpay, of Budapest, with financial assistance provided by the Royal Hungarian Ministry for Industrial Affairs. The unit developed about 100 h.p. at 16,400 r.p.m. The turbine blading was of heat-resisting steel, and the compressor blading of aluminium. [1]
