1922 M.Inst.C.E., M.Inst.M. and Cy.E., Borough Engr. and Surveyor of Wolverhampton; Director of Housing and Architect to the South Staffordshire Smallpox Hospital Bd.; b. 1861; s. of George Henry Green, of Wakefield. Ed. Wakefield Grammar School Training: Nottingham University. Career: In the Civil Engr.'s Offices, Wakefield, Nottingham and Islington; Surveyor,St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Westminster, until 1901, when he received the above appointment; constructed the Tramways, the first Surface Contact System in this country, the Electric Light Station, Markets, Baths, Smallpox Hospital, and other Municipal Undertakings.
