1881 Manager of a "card mill", lodging in Pendleton, Salford[2]

1886 The partnership of Horsfall and Bickham was dissolved - this company was presumably where Kennedy worked and which he subsequently took charge of.

1891 Card clothing, card cloth, india rubber manufacturer and wire drawer, and also maker of machinery for same, employer, living in Pendleton with Helen Kennedy 25, Douglass Kennedy 1, Alexander G Kennedy 3 mo[3]

1901 Mechanical engineer (master), employer, staying in Langford, Somerset with his wife Helen[4]

1911 Manufacturer of card clothing for cotton spinning and the component parts thereof, employer, living in Ormskirk with Helen Kennedy 44, Hew Gilbert Kennedy 16[5]

1916 Died in Southport[6]
