GEORGE ALBERT SHIPMAN died in April 1910, in his forty-fifth year.

Up to a few years ago he was identified with the firm of Shipman & Co., steel-wire manufacturers, of Attercliffe, Sheffield. He subsequently retired from the firm and commenced business as a steel merchant, ultimately disposing of it to George A. Shipman & Co., Ltd.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1896.
