1900 Born the son of Geoffrey Arthur Martineau

1939 Living at Factory, 97 Bescot Crescent, Managing Director Hinge Manufactory.[1]

1956 Died. 'A Walsall businessman whose car collided violently with a lamp standard in Walsall Road, James Bridge, Wednesbury, was dead at the steering wheel before the impact. This was decided at the inquest on Gaston Madeley Martineau (55), chairman and managing director of the hinge manufacturing firm of Matchett and Martineau, Bescot Road. Walsall, who lived at 22, Buttons Farm Road, Penn. Wolverhampton.'[2]
