1904 The Gas Power and By-Products Company Limited was registered as a private company, with capital of £6,000, to acquire and develop processes for producing gas, electricity, fuel, sulphate of ammonia, naphtha, and other by-products, and to carry on business as manufacturers and dealers in such.[1]

1927 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[2]
