1892 Large elliptical and circular boring machine [1]
1909 Description of a large lathe constructed for the Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Govan. The lathe would swing 15 ft. in diameter over the bed, and 11 ft. 6 in. over the saddles when raised, and would turn up work 50 ft. long.[2]
1909 Description of large wheel and tyre lathes.[3]
1937 The Scottish Machine Tool Corporation was formed by amalgamation of: James Bennie and Sons Ltd., G. and A. Harvey, Glasgow; Loudon Brothers Ltd, Johnstone; Craig and Donald Ltd, Johnstone; and James Allan Senior and Sons Ltd, Glasgow; all retained their separate autonomy, even though they had amalgamated.
