Frederick W. Bridges died in his 81st year at his home in Hermitage Walk, South Woodford, on Wednesday, March 13th, after a short illness. Although Mr. Bridges was not a member of this Institution, he was well known to engineers in this Country as the organiser for many years of Engineering Exhibitions covering a wide field of activity. Amongst these may be mentioned the trade and technical exhibitions in connection with electricity, foundry, laundry, gas, printing, stationery, and welding industries.
Mr. Bridges was a good friend to this Institution, and of late years always invited the Council and U.K. members to the Engineering and Marine Exhibitions held at Olympia and entertained them as guests of the management, the last occasion being in 1937.
