1889 October 3rd. Born at Green Mead House, Pembroke the son of Harry Francis Goodden, a photographer.

Worked with Ernest Thompson Willows in early balloon flight and was with him when he flew across the channel and on to Paris (in stages)

1911/12 Built his own aeroplane from a wrecked one

Flying instructor at the Ewen School

Worked for Grahame-White company

1914 Joined the Royal Aircraft Factory as a test pilot in the spring 1914 after previously making balloon and airship trials.

1917 January 28th. Major F. W. Goodden, died when his S.E.5a crashed.
